Bungee FAQs

What is Bungee Fitness?

Originating in Europe, Bungee Fitness is an exciting new way to have a fun, high-energy motion-based cardio workout. Participants are connected to ceiling anchor points via a harness and specially designed bungee cords. Calibrated to your individual weight, the cords provide resistance and buoyancy to your movements. You are not suspended - your feet remain on the ground - yet you can squat, jump, leap and fly while being supported and restrained by the bungee cords.

What Class Do I Take First?

Everyone must start with Level One: Beginners Bungee. This class will show you how to get into the harness, learn basic footwork and elevate your heart rate! This is a 45 minute class. You are welcome and encouraged to take this class as many times as you want to before moving on to Level Two, which gets more into different moves and footwork and includes choreography to two or three songs per class. Find out more information about our class offerings on Our Classes page.

How Are Classes Structured?

Once you get the basic moves down, each Level Two and Level Three Bungee Workout class is choreographed to music. Once you learn the basic choreography, you can be comfortable knowing that these songs will be used during workouts for a four to six week period. This ensures that you will be confident with knowing the moves and can thoroughly get into your workout.

What is the reschedule policy?

You are allowed up to two reschedules. Late fee does apply for reschedules if done with less than 8 hours before class start time.

Is Bungee Fitness Right For You?

If you suffer from any ailments, please talk to a physician before starting any new type of fitness or exercise program. Some restrictions specific to Fling Bungee Fitness include pregnancy, any recent surgeries, weight of less than 90 lbs or a weight of greater than 240 lbs. Participants must be at least 14 years old. Participants under 18 must have a physical waiver signed by a parent or guardian.

I Don’t Exercise, But This Looks Fun. How Hard Is It?

While bungee fitness reduces impact by up to 70 percent, it is still a high-energy exercise workout. If you struggle to do one burpee unassisted, cannot do a squat, or have any difficulty staying active for more that three minutes at a time, you may find this workout too challenging.

I Have Vertigo. Can I Do Bungee Fitness?

You will need to let your instructor know that you have this issue so that your routine can be modified.

What Should I Wear?

You will want to wear tight leggings, high-impact sports bra, and good workout shoes! Please bring clean workout shoes to change into prior to class. Wearing shorts on top of leggings will provide additional layers as the harnesses can rub some and cause irritation. We also have optional foam padding available for optimal comfort. Prepare to get sweaty! Please put your long hair up.

What Should I Bring?

Bring a water and a small towel! If you wish to use our lockers, you must provide your own lock. The weighing/hookup process begins AT THE CLASS TIME LISTED. The first 15 minutes of Level One classes are dedicated to setup and safety procedures. Each client will need to complete a waiver and health questionnaire. Each participant is then privately weighed as each station is customized for each individual. We provide all equipment needed for workout. At subsequent visits we will have your station set up and ready for your arrival.

What If I’m Running Late?

Don’t be late! Once class starts, our instructors will not be able to stop the warm-up to take late arrivals. Your cost for the class will not be refunded if you cancel within 8 hours of class-time and a late fee will apply.

What If I Need to Cancel?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your class, it is your responsibility to do so. You may cancel a class in one of two ways. In your class confirmation email, there is an option to cancel or reschedule an appointment, or you may create an Acuity Log in and manage your cancellation or reschedule options through the app. You will be charged a fee of $15 if you do not cancel or reschedule your class at least 8 hours before start time.
